GitHub Universe Returns: The Age of Agents, a Place for Everyone

GitHub Universe is GitHub's flagship event where developers, tech leaders, security experts, and more gather to learn and collaborate. This year's Universe 2026 goes beyond simple human collaboration to focus on the 'age of agents,' where tools, integrated systems, and AI agents come together into a single workflow.

Attendees will get keynotes and panel sessions, as well as workshops and networking opportunities to apply practical workflows to their own projects. This year, new formats are being introduced for an even richer experience:

• Ship & Tell sessions: Lightning-talk format where developers quickly share what they've built and take Q&A.
• Speaker After Parties: Networking sessions for deeper conversations following the talks.
• Discussions Lounge: A knowledge-sharing space where attendees can propose their own topics and lead small group discussions.
• The Source: An expanded space for deeper engagement with open source projects and the people behind them.
