xAI Launches Unified X Subscription Bundling Grok, Cursor, and X Premium

xAI has introduced The X Subscription, a unified plan that bundles Grok, Grok Bot, Cursor, and X Premium into a single service. This launch marks the first time a single AI subscription supports the full workflow from content creation and chat to coding and social sharing. The service is available to new customers globally starting today, with options for existing subscribers to switch over the coming days.

Pricing and Tiers

The subscription offers five tiers, consolidating previously separate costs into one bill. The Premium tier at $30/month combines the benefits of SuperGrok, Cursor Pro, and X Premium+, which previously cost $90/month combined. Higher tiers scale usage significantly:

• Free: $0/month, includes daily Grok access and a starter allowance for Cursor.
• Plus: $8/month, adds more AI usage, a checkmark, creator tools, and fewer ads.
• Premium: $30/month, provides 4x the usage of the Plus plan.
• Super: $100/month, provides 15x the usage of the Plus plan.
• Ultra: $200/month, provides 50x the usage of the Plus plan.

Shared Usage and Features

A key feature is the shared pool of Grok model usage that applies across both Grok apps and Cursor. Each X Subscription plan includes at least twice as much coding usage with xAI models as the comparable standalone Cursor plan. While third-party models remain available in Cursor on Premium and higher tiers, they are billed separately at API list prices via top-ups. The usage allowance refreshes weekly, preventing a single heavy day from depleting the monthly quota.

Enterprise and Migration

For teams, the new plans are priced at the same per-seat cost as individual plans ($30, $100, or $200) but include 3x more coding usage than older Cursor Teams plans, along with SSO, admin controls, and SOC 2 compliance. Enterprise customers can manage Grok and Cursor from a single dashboard with a unified usage pool. Existing SuperGrok, Cursor, and X Premium subscribers can keep their current plans or switch to The X Subscription for a prorated refund on their old plan. Previous plans are no longer available for new sign-ups.
