Gemini 4 Argon arrives in the Gemini app with improved reasoning and agentic coding

Gemini 4 Argon is now available in the Gemini app, delivering frontier reasoning and improved performance for complex tasks. The model answers questions more directly with less hedging, avoids unnecessary repetition, and skips clichés. For longer tasks, it provides more frequent and effective progress updates.

Enhanced Coding and Task Management

The update brings major improvements in coding, facilitated by Google Antigravity's agentic coding interface, which is now available directly in the Gemini macOS app. Users can easily switch between chatting and coding. Additionally, a new toggle allows users to switch from chat to tasks, enabling Gemini to work autonomously across Google apps even when the user is away from their computer.

Expanded App Connectivity

Gemini now connects to more than 40 apps, including Instacart, OpenTable, Adobe, and Shopify. This integration supports a wide range of activities, from ordering groceries and booking tables to designing and building businesses. Access to Gemini 4 Argon and these task capabilities is currently available to Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers.
