Anthropic released the Claude for Nonprofits plugin, a set of skills and connectors built with approximately 30 nonprofits to help teams set up Claude responsibly, support fundraising, and handle operational tasks.
The plugin is available at no additional cost for nonprofits on Team and Enterprise plans.
Anthropic is planning to extend the Claude Corps program, which places 1,000 early-career fellows in at least 400 US nonprofits, through a partnership with Taproot Foundation to match nonprofits with pro bono consultants.
Over 25,000 nonprofits currently use Claude, with more than 75% having fewer than 10 seats.
The plugin covers three core areas: extending team capabilities (marketing, hiring, board leadership), responsible configuration (organizational mapping and AI policy checks), and mission funding (grant research, RFP drafting, and donor management).
Security features include admin-controlled access to connectors and a default setting that prevents model training on user data.
