Kakao has released the schedule for the Frontend (FE) track sessions at the if(kakaoAI)2024 conference. The sessions, held on Wednesday, October 23, will cover 9 topics sharing Kakao's actual development experiences and technology application cases.

Development Methodologies and Performance Optimization

The KakaoMap store management project will introduce a case where frontend development was conducted in advance using TDD without designs, markup, or APIs. Additionally, the process of improving frontend performance for the 'Gift' service and the applied technologies will be shared, along with experiences managing over 100 services and approximately 1,000 pages through the web performance monitoring service 'Pharus'.

State Management and Library Development

The reasons for developing a state management module directly with Vanilla JS instead of common state management tools in the React ecosystem during KakaoTalk Web development, along with its pros and cons, will be analyzed. The sessions also include the development story of a flexible chart component library that separates domain logic and form for data visualization, and the process of developing a feature to convert React components into PDF files.

Accessibility and Monitoring Tools

A case study of developing an ESLint Plugin that detects violations without running Unit Tests or Storybook to improve accessibility within the team will be introduced.
