Kakao to Host 'if kakao 2022' Developer Conference on December 7–9

Kakao will hold its annual developer conference if(kakao) 2022 online for three days from December 7 to 9. The event will be live-streamed via the official website and KakaoTV, serving as a venue to share the technical experiences of the Kakao community aimed at creating a better world through technology.

Reflection on the October 15 Fire and Prevention Measures

On the first day, the keynote will feature four speakers—Namkoong-hoon, Go Woo-chan, Lee Hwak-young, and Lee Chae-young—who will analyze the causes of the service outage resulting from the October 15 fire at the Pangyo SK C&C data center. At this session, prevention measures, including infrastructure investment plans, are expected to be unveiled.

On the second day, five special 'October 15 Reflection' sessions will be held to provide detailed explanations of redundancy technologies for data centers and infrastructure facilities. Additionally, more than 50 presentations will cover topics such as Kakao Piccoma's global service strategy and examples of fulfilling digital accessibility responsibilities.

12 Tracks and 106 Sessions Covering AI, Cloud, and More

Approximately 120 developers from the Kakao community will serve as speakers, running a total of 106 sessions across 12 tracks, including AI, backend, cloud, DevOps, blockchain, data, frontend, mobile, and ESG.

On the final day, the agenda includes more than 50 technical presentations on topics such as Kakao Brain's text-to-image generation technology, the use of ultra-large AI in healthcare, and blockchain technology for the metaverse, along with sessions covering Kakao Pay's growth journey and work culture.
