Kakao Releases 'OLIVE CLI', an Open Source Verification Tool That Requires No Source Code Transmission

Kakao has released 'OLIVE CLI' to allow secure open source verification even in environments with strict security requirements, such as the financial sector or air-gapped networks. This tool performs everything from project analysis to notice generation within the user's PC environment, ensuring that source code is not transmitted to a server. It supports Windows, macOS, and Linux, and offers a total of 10 commands. Notably, analysis result files are transmitted to the OLIVE Platform only when the 'apply' command is executed, enabling the use of web service features. Kakao conducted a private beta test with three financial institutions, including KakaoBank, Company B, and Company C, to verify its applicability in air-gapped environments.
