The Biz Client Development Part within Kakao's Biz Platform Development Team develops and operates features such as the Channel Home within KakaoTalk, plugin services, and the Channel Manager app, expanding business opportunities.

Tech Stack and Development Approach

• iOS: Developed using Swift in the Xcode environment
• Android: Uses Java and Kotlin in Android Studio, with ongoing efforts to migrate legacy Java source code to Kotlin
• Efficiency: Maximizes the unification of business logic between iOS and Android during service development to improve development efficiency

Development Culture and Collaboration Process

The day begins with a stand-up meeting to share ongoing tasks and issues. Code merges must undergo review and approval to ensure compliance with conventions and to check for service issues. Daily scrums are used to resolve problems quickly, and consensus is reached through discussions based on the belief that "there is a better idea than my own."

Future Plans and Vision

A major overhaul is currently being prepared to change the static structure of Channels to a dynamic one and provide various templates. Additionally, by directly offering channel creation and management features within KakaoTalk to lower entry barriers, and by transforming the Channel Manager app to have a UX similar to KakaoTalk, the team plans to improve the user experience.
