Kakao Concludes 'MCP Player 10' Competition; Winning Entries Officially Registered on PlayMCP

Kakao has concluded the MCP (Model Context Protocol)-based development competition 'MCP Player 10', which ran from December 2025 to January 2026. Over 150 teams applied, and 10 teams were selected through rigorous review.

The winning entries are now officially registered on the PlayMCP platform and available to users. The Grand Prize was awarded to 'Children ZIP', an AI childcare assistant designed to reduce the administrative burden on daycare teachers, while 'SeedUp', which analyzes government startup support announcements, took second place. Other winning projects included an anonymous communication platform, medical skincare analysis, a game strategy assistant, integrated parenting information, parcel scam analysis, a cultural life curator, child safety monitoring, and a legal research tool.

Meanwhile, Kakao plans to hold the second competition, 'Agentic Player 10', in early June. This competition focuses on providing startups and pre-startup teams with opportunities to validate and grow their services directly within KakaoTalk. PlayMCP is expected to expand as a venue for showcasing services to the public by integrating with Kakao Tools within KakaoTalk's Kakao ChatGPT.
