Replit's System Dependencies Management Tool

Replit has launched a new System Dependencies management tool based on Nix. This is an extension of the recently improved Packages tool, and it helps users more easily leverage the power of Nix.

System Dependencies refer to native programs or libraries that can be installed globally in a Repl, such as ffmpeg, gcc, clang, and esbuild, unlike libraries managed by language-specific package management systems.

Previously, users had to directly edit the replit.nix file, but now they can search for and easily add or remove dependencies through a new user interface in the Tools section of the sidebar.
