Replit Deployments: 3x Faster Speed and More Features

Replit Deployments provides a more stable and reliable hosting environment than the existing 'Always On' option. Apps are hosted on a Google Cloud VM, improving security and performance, and users can directly control deployment timing and instantly check VM logs within the workspace.

Deployment speed is now 2-3x faster than before. IOps limits were removed to boost disk read performance, the build machine's RAM and CPU were upgraded, and dozens of bugs that were delaying the deployment process were fixed.

The deployment failure rate has also been significantly reduced. Symlink errors, container permission issues, and snapshot errors during deployment restarts have been resolved. In addition, a feature was added to detect Crash-looping bots that occur within 10 seconds of program startup, and an HTTP01 challenge was introduced for integration with Cloudflare Proxied DNS, improving security and compatibility.

Convenience features for user experience have also been greatly enhanced. The NATS messaging system was introduced to speed up log loading and support real-time reload, and build and app logs can now be viewed in a single panel. In addition, support for the X-Forwarded-For header, which allows tracking of a client's original IP, and a feature to inject domains as environment variables have also been added.
