Results of Replit Ventures' First Program

Replit Ventures' first program has successfully concluded. The selected teams achieved impressive results, including being accepted into the world's top startup accelerators and receiving investment offers of over $1 million from leading VCs.

The program began through collaboration with a Replit user who was a startup founder, with the goal of helping startups gain traction in the market. After launching in April 2021, it proved its popularity by attracting applications from over 400 teams in just 10 days.

In particular, recruitment was conducted globally, securing a highly diverse pool of applicants ranging from teenage hackers in India to senior engineers at FANG companies. After a rigorous selection process, a total of 6 teams ultimately joined:

• Slip: A platform for building and selling programming courses
• Kobra: A visual programming language for machine learning
• PetCode: Smart pet tags for smart pet care
• Nisawa: A delivery service platform based in Rwanda, Africa
• Execute Big: A computer science education nonprofit
• DogeMail: An email client using Replit authentication

Each team was matched with expert mentors, including engineers from Google and Replit co-founders, receiving support for their growth on a weekly basis. As a result, Kobra received significant attention on Hacker News, and PetCode was featured in Forbes, with participating teams showing rapid growth alongside their product launches.
