Raises $80 Million for the Next Billion Software Builders

Replit has raised a Series B round from new investors. This year alone, the number of users has surpassed 10 million, with the number of concurrent containers and traffic across the network rising sharply, marking strong growth.

Replit's mission is to "bring the next billion software builders online." To this end, the company plans to focus its investment on the following three core areas:

• Ubiquity: Building a universal programming environment that can be used on any device or technology stack
• Community: Creating an environment where people can connect around code to learn and generate revenue together
• Primitives: Providing scalable building blocks such as DB, Auth, and compute infrastructure to shorten the time it takes to turn ideas into products

In addition, the company plans to explore AI-powered coding technology, with a particular focus on strengthening Code Comprehension capabilities.

Furthermore, Replit intends to expand donations and support for open-source projects such as FreeCodeCamp, Nix Foundation, and Rust Foundation, contributing to the development of the ecosystem.
