HeyDATA.org Profile: Personalized AI Built with Replit Deployments

Steve Moraco used Replit to successfully build a project that replaces Siri with DATA, a ChatGPT-based AI service. In just a few months, it grew rapidly, reaching $18K in MRR (Monthly Recurring Revenue) and over 800 paying subscribers.

DATA is an advanced AI digital assistant designed for iPhone. It can be accessed by voice using Apple Shortcuts, and integrates with various Apple apps and devices to perform tasks such as:

• Location search via Apple Maps and information browsing via Safari
• Email summarization and draft reply writing using the Mail App
• Schedule and project management through the Calendar app
• Creating Notion pages and visual guides

Users can create an account at HeyDATA.org and then set it up on their iPhone. During setup, entering an OpenAI API key installs a variety of Shortcuts features, including:

• Data Mems: Long-term memory function using iOS files
• Cal to Text / Weather with Dates: Integration with Calendar, Reminders, and Weather apps
• Make Data Guide: Creates Notion pages from web search results
• Hey DATA: The main voice interface that replaces Siri
• Transcribe with Whisper: Converts audio files to text

Despite lacking web development experience, Steve was able to quickly prototype and deploy thanks to Replit's Generative Coding feature and Ghostwriter. Replit's agility—allowing changes to be deployed directly from mobile devices—played a key role in achieving $216K in ARR.
