My Replit Internship Experience

Through my internship at Replit, I primarily worked on developing Code Search, while also participating in various projects such as Repl Resources, Repl Badges, and Jupyter Notebook Viewer.

While balancing schoolwork and work, I faced many challenges in the process of adapting to an unfamiliar tech stack. In particular, while deploying the Code Search feature, I experienced the complexity of real-world work through trial and error, such as sending excessive data that caused the system to go down, or having to re-enable a feature due to a configuration error.

On the technical side, I learned state management libraries, CodeMirror, and Jest, and I picked up a workflow using Graphite to stack up changes without waiting for code reviews.

I also learned about asynchronous collaboration and the importance of constructive feedback through Pull Requests. I realized that validating ideas through code review and quickly failing and improving is at the core of growth.
