Markdown Preview

When you open a Markdown (.md) file in Replit, a new tab appears on the right side of the editor, providing a Live Preview feature that lets you see your content rendered in real time as you write.

Key features include:

• Cursor sync: The preview pane automatically scrolls in sync with your position in the document, keeping the cursor centered on screen at all times.
• Local image rendering: Local images referenced in the Markdown file are rendered instantly in the preview pane.
• Persistent state: The preview stays open until you open another file or explicitly turn it off, letting you keep documents like READMEs displayed alongside your code.

These features let you host and share code and documentation in one place, and the Replit team is already using it in place of Google Docs to manage handbooks, blog posts, meeting notes, and more.
