Custom Themes

Replit has officially launched the highly requested Custom Themes feature. Users can now design everything from the colors across the IDE and website to code Syntax Highlighting in their own style.

Theme creation can be started from the Themes section of the account page. The Themes Editor allows users to modify global tokens applied across the entire site, such as background, foreground, and primary colors, and to finely adjust syntax highlighting settings for each code element, including variables, keywords, strings, and numbers.

Key features include the following:

• Live Preview: Users can work while instantly checking changes within the editor.
• Auto-Save: All modifications are automatically saved to prevent loss of work.
• Community Sharing: Created themes can be published to the community and shared with other users.

Users can also find and install popular themes made by others on the Explore Page. They can easily find the style they want by filtering by title, creator, color scheme (light/dark mode), or specific Hex codes, and the feature also supports tipping theme creators they like via Cycles.
