Replit's Trust, Safety, and Integrity Compliance Efforts

Replit treats users' freedom of expression and creativity as core values, supporting free creation and sharing of all content without prior approval.

The Trust & Safety team adopts a post-hoc monitoring approach to keep the community safe. When a violation of the Terms of Service is reported or detected, moderators send a warning or remove the content, and in serious cases take action such as suspending or blocking the account. Users can file an Appeal against such actions.

Community Moderators, who are members of the community, participate as volunteers and, unlike full staff, do not have the authority to block or delete users.

Through Replit's kebab menu (the three vertical dots icon), users can access the following features:

• Report a Repl: Submit a report with a stated reason via the menu on the cover page.
• Report and block users: Report from a profile page, or simply block to avoid interaction.
• Manage comments: Directly hide or delete inappropriate comments on your own Repl, and report comments on other people's Repls.

In addition, Replit has introduced a security measure that uses Machine Learning technology to automatically scan all uploaded images in order to prevent the posting of inappropriate images.
