Meow Launches MCP Support for AI Agents

Banking platform Meow has launched support for MCP (Model Context Protocol), creating an environment where AI agents like Claude, ChatGPT, and Gemini can perform financial tasks.

Agents can autonomously handle tasks such as opening bank accounts, issuing cards, transferring funds, and auditing spending history according to user commands. This allows companies or sole proprietors to automate business workflows—such as checking fund status or verifying payment routes—through prompts alone, without needing to log into separate financial sites.

However, agents do not have complete financial autonomy. To comply with legal regulations such as identity verification (KYC), the system operates in a way where the agent collects and submits the user's identity documents, while the actual verification takes place on the backend. In other words, the agent acts on behalf of the user to carry out financial processes within the scope of the user's authority.
