NVIDIA Confidential Computing Extends Support to Apple's Private Cloud Compute

GPUs equipped with NVIDIA's Confidential Computing technology are being used for secure inference within Apple's Private Cloud Compute (PCC). Through this collaboration, Apple's PCC expands beyond its own data centers to Google Cloud.

NVIDIA is collaborating with Apple and Google to support next-generation Apple Intelligence features. In particular, it leverages NVIDIA Blackwell GPU to perform server-side inference within PCC's hardware security architecture running on Google Cloud.

NVIDIA Confidential Computing provides a hardware-based security layer that performs the following key functions.

• Hardware-rooted trust: Ensures systems run on genuine, untampered NVIDIA GPUs
• Encrypted communication paths: Provides encrypted protection as data moves between components
• Remote attestation: Allows software to verify the platform's security state before transmitting sensitive data
• Accelerated AI inference and training: Supports running security-critical workloads without degrading GPU performance

In an AI environment where on-device and cloud processing are combined, this technology ensures strong privacy so that users' data, chats, and conversation content are not exposed to anyone, including the system designers themselves.
