Introducing Claude Corps

Anthropic is launching Claude Corps, a national fellowship program that helps early-career talent contribute to local communities by leveraging AI technology. The program will be backed by $150 million in initial funding.

The program will select a total of 1,000 fellows and run full-time for 12 months. Selected talent will be placed at nonprofit organizations, where they will help build AI tools and systems to support the organization's mission, gaining hands-on AI skills in the process.

Key operating structure and benefits:

• Partnership structure: Anthropic provides funding along with strategic and technical expertise, CodePath handles hiring management and training programs, and Social Finance is responsible for measuring outcomes and scaling the program.
• Training and support: Fellows receive intensive training on how to use Claude in nonprofit settings, along with 5 additional hours of training and mentorship each week.
• Compensation: Fellows are provided with an annual salary of $85,000, benefits, a Claude token budget, and professional career guidance.

This project is part of Anthropic's policy efforts to widely share the benefits of technology amid the economic changes that advances in AI technology will bring.
