The Study Journey of Junior FE Developers

Junior FE (Front-End) developers at Kakaopay started a self-initiated study group to learn unfamiliar concepts such as WebView-based services and JSAPI in a remote work environment. They boosted learning efficiency by prioritizing the technical elements they felt they lacked in practice.

The core operating rules of the study group are as follows:

• Always CAM ON: Participate with cameras on to enhance immersion and communication.
• I am the expert: The presenter prepares and presents in depth, as if they have become an expert in that part.
• Encouraging questions: Exchange various practice-oriented questions through free Q&A time.

A Notion template is used to systematically manage the learning content. The template consists of 6 items—Summary, Concept, Advantages, Disadvantages, Example Case, and Wrap-up—to maintain consistency in learning.

Through this process, the developers are experiencing real growth, including mastering TypeScript syntax, improving their Refactoring habits, and having in-depth discussions on Design Patterns (e.g., the Hooks pattern).
