AWS re:Invent 2022 Attendance Report

AWS re:Invent is the world's largest cloud conference held annually in Las Vegas, consisting of three main events: Keynote, Session, and Expo.

This year's keynote had Data, Asynchronous, and environment as core keywords. In the data field, the ability to link Redshift with Spark and Aurora to use data immediately without complex ETL processes, and QuickSight's ML-based trend forecasting feature were emphasized.

Regarding asynchronous processing, Event-driven architecture, which loosely couples systems to make them easier to evolve, was covered as an important topic. To support this, AWS Application Composer, which simplifies architecting and building serverless applications, was introduced.

On the security front, Amazon GuardDuty added a feature to detect runtime threats in EKS containers, and AWS Security Lake now enables integrated analysis of security data from cloud and on-premises at a petabyte scale.

In the computing instance field, a next-generation instance lineup was unveiled, including C7gn based on Graviton3, Inf2 with 4x improved machine learning performance, and Hpc7g optimized for high-performance computing (HPC) workloads.
