GPT Image 2 launches on AI Gateway

GPT Image 2 is now available on Vercel AI Gateway. The model supports detailed instruction following, precise placement and relationships between objects, and dense text rendering, and works across multiple aspect ratios.

• Capable of rendering small text, icons, UI elements, dense compositions, and fine-grained style constraints
• Can render at resolutions up to 2K
• Non-English text reads naturally and consistently

Output styles extend to photography, cinematic stills, pixel art, cartoons, and more. It maintains consistency in texture, lighting, composition, and detail, making it suitable for game prototyping, storyboarding, marketing creative, and generating assets for different media.

To use it, specify the model as openai/gpt-image-2 in the AI SDK. Alternatively, you can try it directly in Vercel's model playground, and AI Gateway also provides usage and cost tracking, retries, failover, performance optimization, custom reporting, observability, Bring Your Own Key, and intelligent provider routing.
