Key Announcements from AWS Summit New York 2026

AWS significantly strengthened its AI agent building environment through new features of Amazon Bedrock AgentCore. It provides the capability to connect agents to organizational knowledge and web data, diagnose issues that arise during operation, and scale control features as needed.

Key updates are as follows:

• Amazon Bedrock Managed Knowledge Base: Integrates data connectors with Smart Parsing and Agentic Retriever to simplify the construction of enterprise RAG pipelines.
• Web Search on Bedrock AgentCore: Provides a fully managed web search tool that enables generating answers based on the latest web knowledge within a secure environment.
• AWS WAF AI Traffic Monetization: Added a Bot Control feature that allows content owners to charge AI bots and agents for accessing their content.
• Amazon Bedrock AgentCore Harness: Reached general availability (GA), enabling rapid construction of production-grade AI agents through configuration alone, without the need to code orchestration loops.

In the security domain, AWS Continuum was introduced. This is a machine-speed security tool that detects code vulnerabilities and prioritizes fixes according to business impact. Additionally, AWS Security Agent supports developers in resolving security issues without context switching, through STRIDE framework-based threat modeling and IDE integration.
