Introducing Claude Tag

Anthropic has unveiled Claude Tag, a new way to support team-based collaboration. This service can join Slack as a team member, and when users grant permissions to a specific channel, it connects to tools, data, and codebases to carry out work.

Anyone within a channel can tag @Claude to delegate a task, and Claude has the ability to remember the channel's context and plan future work. In fact, 65% of Anthropic's product team code is generated through an internal version of Claude Tag, demonstrating its powerful performance.

Key features of Claude Tag:

• Multiplayer: All users in a channel interact with the same Claude, allowing them to pick up previous conversation context and collaborate.
• Context Learning: It learns work context through conversations within the channel, and when permitted, acquires knowledge from other data sources.
• Proactive Initiative: When the 'Ambient' feature is enabled, it proactively surfaces relevant information or tracks unresolved threads to suggest follow-up actions.
• Asynchronous Work: Once given a task, it breaks the work into steps on its own and autonomously carries out projects that span hours or even days.

A beta version is currently available to Claude Enterprise and Team customers, with administrators able to strictly control data access permissions and the scope of tool usage.
