MCP Support Added to Thoth

Thoth is an Apache 2.0-licensed desktop AI assistant that can run fully locally with Ollama or connect to cloud models such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, xAI, and OpenRouter. The default local model is qwen3:14b.

The core of this v3.18 release is the addition of external MCP tools. In Settings, you can register stdio, Streamable HTTP, and SSE MCP servers, pre-test them, and expose them under approved names.

The feature scope is as follows.

• Designer Studio: Create decks, documents, landing pages, app mockups, and storyboards
• Personal Knowledge Graph: Store people, projects, facts, and relationships as a graph and export to an Obsidian-compatible wiki
• Real Computer Use: Support for Chromium, shell, files, web, mail, calendar, and chart operations
• Workflows & Approvals: Scheduled pipelines, conditional branching, approvals, webhooks, notifications, and safe mode
• Channels: Integration with Telegram, WhatsApp, Discord, Slack, and SMS
• Plugins, MCP & Migration: Sandboxed plugins and external MCP server connections, Hermes/OpenClaw config migration

Security and operations have also been strengthened. Core and plugin API keys are stored in the OS credential store where possible, with only metadata and a masked fingerprint left in local files. GPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, and OpenRouter defaults are maintained regardless of cache issues, and 1850 tests passed as of this release.
