Expanded Vercel Agent Launches in Public Beta with Chat, Investigation, and Approved Actions

Vercel has released a public beta of Vercel Agent, which can investigate project issues, answer questions, and perform actions on behalf of users within the dashboard. The Agent directly checks various signals inside the platform—deployments, logs, metrics, project settings, and connected repositories—to identify the root cause of issues and suggest solutions.

The key features of this beta version are as follows:

• Dashboard chat: Provides answers to questions about projects based on actual deployment data.
• Production investigations: Traces the causes of deployment failures, runtime errors, cost spikes, and more, and recommends solutions.
• Approved actions: With user approval, directly performs actions such as creating PRs, rollbacks, and configuration updates to resolve issues.

For security, the Agent operates in read-only mode by default, and any action requiring permissions must go through user approval. Generated code is first validated in Vercel Sandbox before being applied to production.

This feature is being rolled out sequentially to Pro and Enterprise teams. Simple questions are provided free of charge within a limited number of uses, but requests that require investigation or code writing are billed based on the amount of tokens used.
