Hugging Face and Kaggle Announce Platform Integration

Hugging Face and Kaggle have launched integration features that enhance connectivity between the two platforms to help AI developers utilize models.

Key features are as follows:

• Mutual Discovery Support: On a Hugging Face model page, selecting 'Use this model' can instantly create a Kaggle notebook, and conversely, Hugging Face models can also be easily explored from Kaggle.
• Automatic Model Page Creation: When a Hugging Face model is called from a Kaggle notebook, the model automatically generates a page within Kaggle.
• Security and Permission Management: Private models are authenticated via HF_TOKEN, while Gated models still require obtaining access permission from Hugging Face first, as before.

Hugging Face stated that it is developing technical solutions to enable smooth model use in offline notebook submission environments for Kaggle competitions as well.
