European AI. A Playbook to Own It

Europe has strengths in world-class universities, human-centered technology values, and a single market of 450 million+, and combining these into a self-reliant AI powerhouse is presented as the key challenge.

Mistral AI diagnoses the bottlenecks of Europe's AI ecosystem as talent shortage, market fragmentation, regulatory complexity, capital scarcity, and infrastructure dependence.
