Cursor 3.0: A Fully Redesigned Development Environment with an Agent-Centric Interface

Cursor 3.0 moves away from the existing IDE-centric development approach and introduces a new development environment that manages work around Agents.

The core changes are as follows:

• Agents Window: You can run and manage multiple agents simultaneously and in parallel across various environments, including local, worktree, cloud, and remote SSH.
• Design Mode: You can directly select UI elements in the browser or designate an area to give feedback to an agent, enabling more precise work than text-based descriptions.
• Agent tabs: Conversations with multiple agents can be arranged in a grid or side-by-side layout, allowing you to manage them all on a single screen.

Key updates in execution and functionality:

• /worktree: Applies changes in an isolated state.
• /best-of-n: Runs the results of multiple models in parallel for comparison.
• MCP (Model Context Protocol): Provides richer output through structured content support.

This update signifies a shift beyond a simple code autocompletion tool, toward an agent-based development workspace that operates multiple agents simultaneously.
