Claude Usage Limits Doubled

Based on newly secured capacity, including a compute partnership with SpaceX, Anthropic has raised usage limits for Claude Code and the Claude API.

The changes take effect immediately, with the following key details:

• Doubled Claude Code 5-hour rate limits for Pro, Max, Team, and seat-based Enterprise.
• Removed the peak hours limit adjustment for Pro and Max accounts.
• Significantly raised API rate limits for Claude Opus models.

Anthropic stated that it can secure 300MW+ of new capacity and more than 220,000 NVIDIA GPUs at SpaceX's Colossus 1 data center. This additional capacity, it explained, will lead to improvements in perceived performance and availability for Claude Pro and Claude Max subscribers.

At the same time, Anthropic also reiterated its existing plans to expand compute:

• With Amazon, a collaboration of up to 5GW, including about 1GW of additional capacity by the end of 2026.
• With Google/Broadcom, a 5GW collaboration, coming online starting 2027.
• With Microsoft/NVIDIA, a strategic partnership including $30B Azure capacity.
• With Fluidstack, a $50B U.S. AI infrastructure investment.

Anthropic also stated it is pursuing expanded inference capacity in Asia and Europe for regulated-industry customers such as finance, healthcare, and government, and that it is even considering orbital AI compute going forward.
