Skybridge, a Framework for Building MCP Apps, Gets Updated

Skybridge, an open-source framework developed by Alpic for building MCP (Model Context Protocol) apps, has added key features through its v1.1 and v1.2 updates.

The main updates are as follows:

• View tools: Models can now call functions directly from the View without going through the MCP server, preventing server round-trips and View re-renders, improving efficiency.
• Branded OAuth provider support: Plugin-style helpers are provided for major authentication services such as WorkOS, Auth0, Clerk, Stytch, and Descope, simplifying the tricky authentication process when developing MCP servers.
• DevTools support via WebMCP: Leveraging Chrome's WebMCP feature, this provides a feedback loop that lets models directly inspect and interact with the app during development.
