GitHub Copilot JetBrains May Update

GitHub Copilot for JetBrains v1.9 adds Copilot CLI integration (preview).

• A unified session view lets you manage local CLI sessions and GitHub Copilot CLI sessions together.
• The Ask question tool has entered agent mode, and GHES login flow is now supported.
• Support for global .agent.md files under ~/.copilot/agents has been added, with UI support coming soon.

Usability has also been polished.

• When starting a new command, you're now asked to confirm whether to cancel the currently running task.
• Sub-agent rendering and current file context styling have been improved.
• The auto-approval panel, code block actions, and code review apply behavior have been refined.

Bug fixes include issues with code completion failing on the 2nd monitor, Shift+Home / Shift+End, drag and drop, and UI freeze.

There's also a behavior change: Plan agent is no longer automatically invoked in sub-agent workflows, and must now be selected directly from the mode selector.

Conversely, Edit mode support has been removed, and the next release is expected to bring usage-based billing, an agent debug panel, improved customization files, and BYOK for Business/Ent support.
