Anthropic Pursues $50 Billion Funding Round

Anthropic is reportedly considering a massive funding round of up to $50 billion to raise its valuation to roughly $900 billion to $1 trillion.

The company's annual revenue has surged from about $9 billion at the end of last year to nearly $45 billion now, showing rapid growth. Anthropic plans to expand its computing capacity to meet demand for software and enterprise services, and is strengthening infrastructure partnerships with AWS, Google, and Broadcom to that end.

Meanwhile, Vice President JD Vance recently held a private meeting with Elon Musk, Sam Altman, and Dario Amodei. The discussion focused on the potential impact of AI systems on critical national infrastructure such as banks, hospitals, and water facilities, as well as cybersecurity risks arising from AI models' ability to detect software vulnerabilities.
