Claude Platform on AWS

Anthropic has made Claude Platform on AWS generally available (GA).

AWS customers can now use the full functionality of Claude Platform through AWS authentication, billing, and commitment retirement. Authentication is handled via IAM, audit logs are recorded via CloudTrail, and costs are processed through a single AWS bill.

The key point is that native Claude API features can be used as-is on AWS. New features and betas are reflected in the AWS version on the same day as Claude's native API.

Included features are as follows.

• Claude Managed Agents (beta)
• Advisor strategy (beta)
• Web search / web fetch
• Code execution
• Files API (beta)
• Skills (beta)
• MCP connector (beta)
• Prompt caching
• Citations
• Batch processing

The models available are Claude Opus 4.7, Sonnet 4.6, Haiku 4.5, and new models released afterward will also be added to the AWS version. Claude Console is also provided, so you can use prompt improvement, prompt generation, and evaluation tools.

AWS customers can now choose between two paths.

• Claude Platform on AWS: Anthropic operates the service, and data is processed outside the AWS boundary. Suitable when you need the full Claude Platform feature set.
• Claude on Amazon Bedrock: AWS is the data processor and operates within the AWS boundary. Suitable when strict regional data governance is required.

The service is available in most AWS commercial regions, and supports both global and U.S. inference geographies. Existing Bedrock private offer users should check with their Anthropic or AWS representative first before starting, to ensure discounts apply.
