Elon Musk Reorganizes xAI into SpaceXAI Division

xAI will be absorbed into SpaceX. The internal division handling X operations and Grok will operate under the name SpaceXAI, a name that will also serve as the brand for AI-related products SpaceX creates.

This reorganization marks the final stage of an acquisition and restructuring process SpaceX has already been carrying out with xAI. SpaceX has linked xAI to its plans for building space-based data centers in low orbit. Now it is bringing AI together as a core function across the entire company.

A new logo will also be introduced. With the $119 billion TERAFAB semiconductor fab and the next-generation Starship V3 coming together, SpaceX aims to reduce external dependence and speed up development through vertical integration that combines AI and hardware within a single organization.
