GPT-5 Released

OpenAI has released GPT-5, its smartest and fastest model to date. It delivers state-of-the-art performance across coding, math, writing, health, and visual perception, and is a unified system that responds quickly or thinks deeply depending on the situation to provide expert-level answers.

GPT-5 consists of an efficient smart model, GPT-5 thinking (a reasoning model) for difficult problems, and a Real-time router that determines the complexity of the conversation and the user's intent to connect to the appropriate model. The router continuously learns and improves its performance based on user feedback and accuracy data.
