Supporting ChatGPT Adoption Across the Entire US Federal Government

OpenAI has announced an innovative initiative in partnership with the US GSA (General Services Administration) to provide ChatGPT Enterprise to the entire US federal executive branch for just $1 per agency over the next year. This move is aimed at implementing the Trump administration's AI Action Plan, helping government employees reduce time spent on administrative procedures and paperwork so they can focus on the core work of public service.

Pilot programs already conducted in the states of Pennsylvania and North Carolina have demonstrated improved work efficiency through ChatGPT. Pennsylvania state employees saved an average of about 95 minutes of work time per day, and in North Carolina, 85% of participants reported a positive experience.

Through this initiative, OpenAI will provide the following support:

• Universal Access to ChatGPT Enterprise: All participating federal agencies will be able to use the state-of-the-art model at low cost for one year, with an additional 60 days of unlimited access to advanced features such as Deep Research and Advanced Voice Mode.
• Education and Training: OpenAI will offer customized training through the OpenAI Academy and operate a dedicated government user community, while collaborating with Slalom and Boston Consulting Group (BCG) to support safe and responsible deployment.
• Security and Compliance: ChatGPT Enterprise does not use input or output data for model training, and applies strong security guardrails to protect sensitive federal government information.
