Through the Model Spec, OpenAI publicly discloses its values around helpfulness, safety, neutrality, and intellectual freedom, transparently managing the model's behavioral guidelines.

While preventing harmful or dangerous activities, the model maintains a cooperative attitude on sensitive topics without lecturing users or imposing a particular worldview. In addition, users can adjust the tone or instructions to customize ChatGPT to fit individual or organizational purposes.

OpenAI is also pursuing a new initiative that evaluates political bias based on how real users actually phrase questions and explore ideas, going beyond existing standardized tests. Through this, it plans to ensure balance and accuracy in real-world usage environments rather than in theory.
