Anthropic and Blackstone Launch $1.5 Billion 'AI Implementation' Joint Venture Ode

Anthropic has launched Ode, a $1.5 billion (approx. KRW 2 trillion) AI implementation-focused joint venture, together with major investors including Blackstone. This is based on the judgment that beyond the race for model performance, the 'implementation' stage—how enterprises actually integrate AI into their business processes—will become a massive market.

Ode laid its foundation by acquiring Fractional AI, an AI engineering services startup. It currently has about 100 engineers and aims to be a 'Scaled Boutique' model that redesigns companies' core business processes and builds customized AI systems.

Key features are as follows:

• Claude-first principle: Prioritizes implementing Anthropic's technology (e.g., Claude Tag) where possible, while also utilizing third-party models as needed.
• Talent composition: More than half of the team consists of elite generalist software engineers who are former founders.
• Customer targeting: Secures Blackstone portfolio companies as a key customer base, focusing on solving core business problems that CEOs identify as top priorities.
