Call for Papers: NeurIPS 2026 RTCA Workshop

The RTCA (Real-Time Conversational Agents) workshop, to be held at NeurIPS 2026 (December 11-12, Sydney), is calling for papers and demos.

The workshop focuses on speech streaming, real-time video generation, and natural interaction, addressing three core questions:

• Real-time generation within strict latency constraints
• Methodologies for evaluating conversational naturalness
• Evaluation criteria for systems that actually work in practice

Key topics of interest include streaming speech synthesis/ASR, full-duplex audio-language models, real-time talking head/avatar generation, streaming language models, turn-taking/backchanneling/interruption handling, and multimodal alignment. The workshop aims to establish methodologies and benchmarks for conversational systems in which speech, video, and language interact in real time, moving beyond the limitations of offline generation approaches.
