OpenAI to Participate in the Paris AI Action Summit

OpenAI will participate in the 3rd AI Action Summit to be held in Paris next week. The summit will focus on discussions of how AI innovation and technological breakthroughs can drive economic growth.

To support this, OpenAI will host an 'AI Economics' event series in Paris. Working together with policymakers and experts to explore ways to ensure AI's benefits reach everyone, OpenAI plans to hold further events in London and Brussels before unveiling an 'Economic Blueprint for Europe' to seize AI opportunities.

ChatGPT currently has 300 million weekly active users (WAU) worldwide. Within France, AI is delivering tangible results across various fields, including Sanofi (accelerating clinical trials for new drugs), ESCP Business School (personalized learning), Orange (language models for African regional languages), and Ask Mona (expanding cultural accessibility).

OpenAI is also a signatory of the Bletchley Declaration and the Seoul Framework, and operates a Preparedness Framework for the safe development of frontier models. Through this framework, OpenAI continuously tracks and manages key risk areas—including cybersecurity, CBRN (chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear), persuasion, and autonomy—based on scientific evidence.
