Meta unveils Muse Spark for Voice Mode and AI Glasses

Meta has unveiled Muse Spark. This model will serve as the foundation for the Meta AI app and meta.ai, expanding its scope to WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, Messenger, Threads, and AI glasses. Initial deployment begins in the US and Canada, with gradual expansion afterward to Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta devices and broader app integration.

Voice Mode enables natural conversation, allowing users to switch topics or languages mid-conversation. It simultaneously provides instant image generation and related recommendations, improving response speed and utility.

Shopping mode brings together product information from Facebook Marketplace and across the web in one place.

Live AI provides instant context when you point the camera at an object or landmark. Meta introduced Muse Spark as a small, fast model that covers science, math, health, visual coding, and multimodal perception, and explained that it uses subagents for real-world context understanding and multitasking. Meta Superintelligence Labs rebuilt its AI stack for this purpose, and also emphasized safety and privacy safeguards.
