Genmab Pursues "AI Everywhere" Strategy

Global biotech company Genmab is pursuing an "AI Everywhere" strategy to integrate AI into every business process. It recently expanded its ChatGPT Enterprise licenses to over 2,000, accelerating company-wide AI adoption.

Genmab has built and now operates over 100 custom GPTs. Employees use them for tasks such as drafting documents, summarizing scientific literature, and analyzing data, saving an average of 3.5 hours of work per week.

Key use cases include the following:

• GPT-4o vision capabilities: Interprets medical documents containing complex images, text, and numbers, reducing the cost and time of the fact-verification process.
• Clinical trial document generation: Integrates GPT-4o directly with clinical data to continuously refine drafts of Clinical Study Reports (CSRs), patient safety narratives, and Investigational New Drug (IND) applications.
• AI Translator GPT: Translates complex scientific documents with human-level accuracy. In particular, a staged translation approach from English to Japanese to Chinese has cut translation time from weeks down to just hours or minutes.

To manage security and data privacy risks associated with AI adoption, Genmab conducts advance reviews of OpenAI's security controls and performs regular assessments.
