4 tips for creating new worlds with Project Genie

Google DeepMind's Project Genie is an experimental research prototype that lets users create and explore their own interactive worlds through text or images. It is currently available to Google AI Ultra subscribers aged 18 and over in the US.

Here are 4 tips for effective world creation:

• Describe the environment in detail: Specify not only the setting (forest, city, etc.) but also the weather, structures, and visual style (photorealistic, cartoon, etc.).
• Set up a character: Configure a character, including movement style or special effects, to explore the world.
• Use images: You can upload a photo you've taken to define the environment. Images where the character is centered and the background is sufficiently visible work best.
• Use intuitive language: Use short, clear, action-focused sentences. If writing prompts is difficult, you can use Gemini to refine the sentences.

Users can preview the output that will be generated via Nano Banana Pro, and can explore the world by switching between first-person and third-person perspectives.
