Jack Dorsey Launches Buzz, Combining Team Chat, AI Agents, and Git Hosting

Block co-founder Jack Dorsey has launched Buzz, an open-source workspace that unifies AI agents, conversations, and software repositories under a single identity system.

Buzz's core features are as follows:

• Agent-centric design: AI agents participate as members with the same permissions as humans, going beyond simple chatbots. Agents can search past conversations, review code, submit patches, or run workflows.
• Nostr-based security: All messages, code events, and approval processes are stored as cryptographically signed events via Nostr relay, providing a transparent audit trail.
• Integrated development environment: It has a built-in software forge feature leveraging Git Smart HTTP, connecting feature branches with chat channels and managing CI results and code reviews as a single record.
• Model independence: It provides interfaces that connect to various tools such as Goose, Codex, and Claude Code, designed so it is not tied to any specific LLM model.

Package builds, including desktop applications for macOS, Windows, and Linux, are currently available, and it has been released under the Apache 2.0 license.
