AWS Databases Now Available on Vercel Marketplace and v0

AWS databases such as Aurora PostgreSQL, Amazon DynamoDB, and Aurora DSQL can now be used directly on Vercel Marketplace and the AI development tool v0. Developers can provision databases and automatically complete project setup by following guides in the Vercel dashboard.

In particular, using v0 allows everything from AWS account creation to database connection to be handled at once with just a prompt, dramatically shortening the time it takes to turn an idea into a working app.

Since Vercel runs on top of AWS infrastructure, databases and functions are located in the same data center, resulting in very low latency. According to benchmark results, AWS RDS (Aurora) recorded a round-trip performance of about 1ms, far faster than other providers, demonstrating overwhelming speed.

Users can use AWS in the following two ways.

• Vercel-managed account: For those without an AWS account or who want simple setup, databases can be created with a single click and environment variables are automatically injected.
• Connecting an existing AWS account: Teams already managing their own infrastructure can maintain their existing setup while connecting to Vercel projects via AWS IAM temporary delegated credentials.
