Work with Codex from anywhere

With Codex now in the ChatGPT mobile app, you can pick up work running on your laptop, Mac mini, or a managed remote environment right from your phone. It pulls the live status of connected devices to preserve threads, approvals, plugins, and project context as-is, while an internal secure relay layer keeps the connection alive without exposing the device directly to the public internet.

From your phone, you can start a task, review an in-progress thread, approve commands, switch models, or open a new task. Files and credentials stay on the remote machine, while screenshots, terminal output, diffs, test results, and approval history sync in real time.

• Remote SSH automatically detects hosts from your SSH config, letting you create projects and threads inside the remote machine, while Hooks can be used for secret scanning, running validators, logging conversations, generating memory, and customizing behavior per repository or directory.
