Expanding Global Health Education with AI Voice

NextGenU integrated ElevenLabs into its learning workflow to scale voice together with course narration, onboarding, and mobile training. For complex topics, delivery matters as much as content—clear voice improves comprehension, while inconsistent audio breaks the flow of learning.

In just three flagship courses, more than 5,000 learners have already used voice-supported training. In Critical and Systems Thinking, voice was used for narrative-style lectures in which an epidemiologist traces a health crisis, and in Naloxone Training, procedural narration was applied to guide overdose response step by step.

Public Health U ran multi-module video lectures for learners in low- and middle-income countries. In surveys, a majority cited video as the most useful element, while only a small number said it needed improvement.

In the Jacaranda Health DELTA project for healthcare workers in Sub-Saharan Africa, Kenyan-accented voice was added to WhatsApp-based modules, creating a more familiar and trustworthy learning experience even in low-bandwidth mobile environments.

Ultimately, NextGenU is making AI voice part of its global education infrastructure, simultaneously expanding localized languages and voices, education for underserved regions, and rapid program launches. The goal of education lies not just in access to information, but in creating access to understanding.
